Do you ever feel like you need a way to express yourself other than using words?
Let's try it!
Your School Counselors have been telling me about a way they have been teaching you how to express your feelings through using the "RAIN" technique.
R= Release Tension A= Affirm Yourself I= Interact with Others N= New Environment I'm thinking that you can use this knowledge through this project. I think that you can find ways that you could release tension through making your person in your picture do something you would do to release tension. Or, maybe you would like to have your person doing something you can do to affirm yourself. Or, you can have your person interacting with someone, doing something together. You could also put your person into a new environment by showing things around that person in your picture. Think about a way that you could use your RAIN technique to tie your feelings, emotions, and tensions into your artwork. |
Now, What will your person be doing? How will you show movement (tension) in your art? Who will be in your picture?
Challenge: Create a Keith Haring inspired piece of art that shows a positive message about how you cope with your feelings using the RAIN technique.
Here's a fun video showcasing Keith Haring's art. Don't get too crazy watching this!
