Op Art Hand
What is Op Art?
Op Art is short for Optical Art, like Optical Illusions. It's an art movement that started in the 1960s. It's a form of abstract art (meaning we don't know what it's a picture of) that gives our eyes the thought that the form is moving on the paper, or in a sculpture. Patterns, colors and overlapping can all cause Op Art to happen.

Here are some examples of Op Art:
We are going to create our own Op Art by using our hand. We will use line and color to make it look like it's popping out of the paper!
Here's what it will look like.
There are two things that we have to do to make this work. First, we have to be careful with our lines to make it work. Second, we have to use the right colors to make it work.

There are three main sets:
Pick one of these sets to use on your hand picture.
