How to use Crayons
You have been using crayons for many years already. So, I know that you know how to use them. But, I'm hoping I can teach you a few tricks so you know how to use them even better.
1. Blending colors
2. Make the rainbow with three colors
3. Try making different marks with your crayon
*Try holding your crayon in your hand, make your arm go straight out and color like that.
*Try moving just your fingers while you color, don't move your hand, wrist or arm at all.
*Try coloring while you move only your wrist. Keep your fingers, hand and arm very still.
*Try coloring with your whole arm, let your elbow sit on the table and move your arm as you color.
Now try these different techniques...
Outlining - Outline the object you are coloring with a dark crayon mark, then color in the center.
Cross Hatching - color one way with your crayon, then color the opposite way to fill it in.
Remember, color every little hole. I call those white holes the worm holes... that's where the worms can get in. Make sure you cover up those worm holes with your crayon marks.
